God then blessed the seventh day and sanctified it. Then after He called the children of Israel out of Egypt, as they were in the wilderness, He gave them the ten commandments through Moses and among the commandments is that they should remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy. That six days shall they work but on the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD and on that day they shall not do any work, it shall be a day of rest.
