Entering God's rest

 INTRODUCTION

"And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made"            Genesis 2:2 KJV

God rested on the seventh day after His 6 days works of creation. God then blessed the seventh day and sanctified it. Then after He called the children of Israel out of Egypt, as they were in the wilderness, He gave them the ten commandments through Moses and among the commandments is that they should remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy. That six days shall they work but on the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD and on that day they shall not do any work, it shall be a day of rest.

God always ensure that we align with His plans and purpose. He always brings us into the understanding of what He plans to do, so that we will follow Him faithfully in the fulfillment of His plans.

"But beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years; and a thousand years as one day"  2Peter 3:8 KJV

Analysing the existence of mankind through the scripture, one could get the years mankind has existed till date. I have analysed it in my book titled "Understanding the end time events: a revelation into divine mysteries". https://www.amazon.com/dp/B087SDHPWK The summary of the analysis is:

From the creation of Adam to the flood = 1656 years

From the flood to the birth of Jesus Christ is approximately 2418 years.

From the birth of Jesus to 2023 AD is 2023 years.

Therefore, from the creation of Adam to 2023 AD = 6097 years.

Then, if 1000 years is like a day, then the 6097 years is in the early part of the 7th day, the Sabbath rest of the LORD when the events that will bring the Earth to the end shall occur, the period that out Lord Jesus shall return. 

We have entered into the Millennium that will bring this old Earth to an end, the 7th Millennium. This has been discussed in my book titled "Understanding the end time events: a revelation into divine mysteries".

"There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works as God did from his. Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief"          Hebrews 4:9-11 KJV

While still on this Earth, there is a rest of God that believers can still enter into. As the above scripture says, whoever that enters into this rest of God shall cease from his/her work as God did on the seventh day of the creation.

The rest of God is a realm where one's battle fully belongs to God. It is a realm of unending joy. It is a realm of total calmness even while in the storms of life.

"And behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea, insomuch that the ship was covered with the waves but he was asleep"  Matthew 8:24 KJV

This is how it is for someone that has entered into the rest of God. He/she will experience great joy at all times and total calmness even in the presence of great storm because Jesus is with him/her in the battle to fight it for him/her. The presence of God will always be evident around such person. Anyone or powers of hell that touches him/her touches God because his/her battles belong to the Lord. God has established an everlasting Covenant with him/her.

David, Abraham, Moses, Noah, Joshua, Solomon, the Apostles etc entered into the rest of God. We saw David conquering all the battles he fought. God was there fighting his battles for him that even at a very tender age, he defeated Goliath. Even Abraham was also very powerful than nations. Solomon didn't even fight any war as God shielded him all through his reign. Though Solomon missed it later in life as he married strange women but the mercy of God didn't depart from him according to the promise of God to David, his father, in 1Samuel 7:15 that He will not take His mercy away from the house of David. Solomon later came to his senses as he declared in Ecclesiastes 12:8 that: "Vanity of vanities, saith the preacher, all is vanity".

The patriarchs, that entered into the rest of God laboured to enter into the rest. We too must labour and follow God faithfully, if we want to enter into the rest of God.

This book shall reveal what you need to do to enter the rest of God as we study using the patriarchs that entered into the rest of God as examples.

Read through this book with total sensitivity in the spirit. May the Lord bring you into His rest in Jesus name, Amen.
